1st international conference on “New economic, financial and social challenges for building sustainable development in the EU”

On June 15, 2021, the 1st international conference on “New economic, financial and social challenges for building sustainable development in the EU” was held. The Conferencewas a part of the project “New economic, financial and social challenges for building sustainable development in the EU”, financed by the Erasmus + program.  The meeting was attended by distinguished specialists in the field of law, political science, economics and finance from foreign academic centers, i.a. Italy, Ukraine, Romania and Hungary.

They discussed about  the current challenges the EU will face in the nearest future. The main discussion questions were: Are the economic, financial and social measures taken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic sufficient to overcome the potential crisis and to achieve sustainable development? Does the EU have a chance to strengthen its presence in the international arena, or will this role be weakened as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic? Has the EU potential to create new jobs under the current conditions? How can the development of IT services, including distance learning and work, affect the mental well-being of citizens and social interactions?
